1Landscape Architecture – Students are placed in Pre-Landscape and must fill-out an application and submit a portfolio to take LAND230.
2Art – 2.5 cumulative GPA on a minimum of 12 CSU credits.
3Music – Students are placed in Pre-Music and need a minimum of C grades in music courses used for major. Auditions are required in area of specialty.
4Technical Journalism – 2.9 cumulative GPA on a minimum of 12 CSU credits.
JTC100 (Intro to Mass Media) and JTC210 (Newswriting) and earn at least a B in one course and nothing less than a C in the other.
5Apparel Design – A 2.5 cumulative GPA.
AM143 (Intro to Apparel Design).
A portfolio review.
Students must satisfactory complete course work and participation in a selective design activity during spring semester.
6Interior Design – A 2.5 GPA cumulative GPA.
INTD129 (Intro to Interior Design) and INTD166 (Visual Communication & Sketching).
ART101 (Visual Form) and CON151 (Construction Material & Methods) must be completed prior to fall of the sophomore year.
Students must satisfactorily complete course work and participate in a selective design activity during spring semester.
7Business Administration – A 3.0 GPA on a minimum of 15 graded credits at CSU.
MATH141 (Calculus in Management Science) and ECON202 (Microeconomics) with a grade of a B- or better in both courses.
8Construction Management – Students are placed into Pre-Construction Management.
A 2.75 GPA on a minimum of 15 graded credits at CSU.
CON101 (Intro to Construction Management) and CO150 (College Composition) with a grade of a B or better in both courses.
MATH125 (Numerical Trigonometry) with a grade of a C or better.
Department will determine space availability & admissions into program
9Restaurant & Resort Management – A 2.7 cumulative GPA.
CHEM107 (Fundamentals of Chemistry) and FSHN150 (Intro. to Nutrition) with a grade of a C- or better in both courses.
10Biological Sciences & Zoology – A 2.0 cumulative GPA. A grade of a C or better in the following three areas:
1) One year of Biology – LIFE102 (Attributes of Living Systems) and LIFE103 (Biology of Organisms – Animals & Plants) OR one semester each of Botany and Zoology – BZ110/111 (Principles of Animal Biology/Lab) and BZ120 (Principles of Plant Biology).
2) One year of Chemistry – CHEM111/112 (General Chem. I/Lab) and CHEM113/114 (General Chem. II/Lab).
3) Readiness for Calculus with a minimum of MATH117 & 118 (College Algebra I & II) OR MATH124 & 126 (College Trig and Functions).
11Biomedical Sciences –A 3.3 cumulative GPA on fewer than 60 credits.
LIFE102 (Attributes of Living Systems) and CHEM111/112 (General Chem. I/Lab) with a grade of a B or better in both courses.
Students who meet criteria are placed into Undeclared Life Sciences (UNLS) and department will determine space availability and admissions into the program.
12Human Development & Family Studies – Registered for OR completion of PSY100 (General Psychology) and SOC100 (Intro. to Sociology).
13History (Educational Licensure in Social Studies) - A 3.0 cumulative GPA.
14Political Science – A 2.0 cumulative GPA.
Two Political Science courses with at least a B in one course and a C in the other.
15Chemical Engineering – A 2.3 cumulative GPA on a minimum of 16 CSU credits.
MATH160 (Calculus I), PH141 (Physics I), and CHEM111/112 (General Chem. I/Lab) with at least a B in one course and nothing less than a C in the others two courses.
16Civil, Environmental & Engineering Science- A 2.3 cumulative GPA on a minimum of 16 CSU credits.
MATH160 (Calculus I), PH141 (Physics I) or CHEM111/112 (General Chem. I/Lab) with at least a B in one course and nothing less than a C in the other course.
17Computer & Electrical Engineering- A 2.3 cumulative GPA on a minimum of 16 CSU credits.
MATH160 (Calculus I) and PH141 (Physics I) with nothing less than a B in both courses.
18Computer Science – A 2.5 cumulative GPA.
MATH160 (Calculus I) and CS160 (Java Programming) with a grade of a C or better in both courses.
19Mechanical Engineering – A 2.75 cumulative GPA. On a minimum of 16 CSU credits.
MATH160 (Calculus I), PH141 (Physics I) or CHEM111/112 (General Chem. I/Lab) with at least a B in one course and nothing less than a C in the other course.
