Minors and Interdisciplinary Studies Programs

What is the difference between a minor and an ISP?

A minor is a set of courses, usually totaling 21 credits, that is offered by one department.  An Interdisciplinary Studies Program (ISP) is a series of courses focused upon one area, similar to a minor and usually 21 credits, but from an interdisciplinary perspective. Minors and ISPs are noted on transcripts but not on the diploma.
