Chiropractic
Chiropractic (from the Greek "cheir" + "praktikos" meaning "done by hand") is based on the premise that the relationship between the vertebral column and the nervous system contributes to health. As a branch of the healing arts, the chiropractic approach to healthcare is holistic, stressing the patient's overall health and wellness. Chiropractors do not use drugs or surgery. Instead, they utilize natural therapies, including spinal manipulation. They also recommend lifestyle changes to their patients with regards to eating, exercise, and sleeping habits. When appropriate, chiropractors consult with and refer patients to other health practitioners.
