Introduction to
Health Professions Clubs

A key to success is getting involved in your community. At Colorado State University there are a variety of organizations and groups to participate in, for almost any interest. Becoming involved outside the classroom will help you to meet new people, get better grades, stay in school, and be more competitive on graduate school applications. The Center for Advising and Student Achievement sponsors seven clubs for pre-health and pre-vet students. These clubs are:

  • Premedica
  • Pre-Physical Therapy Club
  • Pre-Veterinary Association
  • Pre-Dental Club
  • Pre-Occupational Therapy Club
  • Pre-Pharmacy Club
  • Pre-Optometry Club

How do I participate in and join a club?
Membership is open to all CSU students. You are welcome to attend all club meetings and events. To learn about club happenings, subscribe to all club list serves that you are interested in. By subscribing, you will receive timely and important club information via email. You will be notified about club meetings, events, volunteer and job opportunities, and much more. Check your email account on a regular basis!

These clubs are student run and meet regularly during the school year. They sponsor informational speakers and events, provide an opportunity to meet other students with similar interests in the health professions, offer shadowing experiences in the field provide leadership opportunities, and are actively involved in campus and community service activities.
