Transferring Telephone Calls
Transferring Calls to Voice Mail- With calling party on the line, press TRANSFER button
- Dial 1-7500 to access the University phone system. You will hear "Welcome to Octel Voice Information Processing. Please dial the number of the person you are calling."
- Dial 1+ the four-digit number of the campus extension. You can start dialing the party's phone number when you hear "Welcome".
- Press TRANSFER button
- Press Rls button
- Hang up. Call will transfer
Transferring Calls to CASA Advisors or Another Campus Extension:
- With calling party on the line, Press TRANSFER button
- Dial "1" + the 4-digit number of the campus extension you are transferring the call to
- Press TRANSFER button
- Press Rls button
- Hang up. Call will transfer
If you want to speak to the party you are transferring the call to before the call is transferred to them, press the TRANSFER button but delay pressing the Rls button until after you have spoken to the party you are transferring the call to.
