Classes taken through Division of Continuing Education provide an opportunity for students to share in the resources of the University by participating in learning experiences throughout their career and lifetime. Continuing Education makes education accessible to traditional and nontraditional students through a variety of formats. Continuing Education maintains that learning is a lifelong endeavor as individuals seek and meet the challenges and opportunities of careers, new technologies, personal life transitions, and personal enrichment.
Evening Credit
The Evening Credit Program offered through the Division of Continuing Education provides courses after 5:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday, to accommodate the schedules of students who work days or need evening sessions.
Distance Education
Distance Education serves a variety of students who may be local residents or live at a distance from campus. Credits can be earned by taking correspondence , telecourse, video-based or online courses offered through Continuing Education. Distance learning alternatives earn regular Colorado State University credit. Students do not need to be admitted to enroll (see current class schedule for more specifics).
Noncredit Courses
Noncredit programs are available for persons wanting to enhance employment skills (professional development), change careers or take classes for personal enrichment.
OSHER Lifelong Learning Institute
In partnership with the Bernard Osher Foundation, the OSHER Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at Colorado State University is an innovative educational program. The program is designed to help people 50 years of age or better, or anyone with a curious mind, renew their enthusiasm for learning in a relaxed atmosphere.
Scholarships
John C. Snider Scholarship - awarded to nontraditional student in the form of a voucher for a Continuing Education credit class.
Statewide Extended Study Scholarship - awarded to a Colorado resident in good academic status and not currently holding a Bachelors Degree.
