Transferring Telephone Calls

Transferring Calls to Voice Mail
  • With calling party on the line, press TRANSFER button
  • Dial 1-5500
  • The prompt will ask you to press the # key to contact someone
  • The prompt will ask you to press the # key again in order to dial the person's extension
  • The prompt will ask you to dial the extension number (1-xxxx)
  • You will hear the name of the person you have dialed
  • The prompt will ask you to press the # key in order to leave a message
  • Immediately press TRANSFER key in order to connect the caller to voicemail
  • Press "Rls" button, or hang up.

Transferring Calls to CASA Advisors or Another Campus Extension:
  • With calling party on the line, Press TRANSFER button
  • Dial "1" + the 4-digit number of the campus extension you are transferring the call to
  • Press TRANSFER button
  • Press Rls button
  • Hang up. Call will transfer

If you want to speak to the party you are transferring the call to before the call is transferred to them, press the TRANSFER button but delay pressing the Rls button until after you have spoken to the party you are transferring the call to.
