Academic Difficulty:

Is it possible for a student to take a semester "off" from CSU and return for the next semester?

A student who chooses not to attend classes for a semester must drop all courses on Ramweb PRIOR to the first day of classes. Students who do not drop all of their classes prior to the first day must meet with a Center for Advising and Student Achievement (CASA) adviser to complete a University Withdrawal. To withdraw, the student should phone the CASA office, 491-7095, to set an appointment with an adviser.

If a student does not attend CSU for one semester (Fall or Spring), s/he must reapply for readmission to CSU.

Students who do not attend another institution and who are only out of CSU for one semester do not need to pay the application fee. Students who attend elsewhere and/or those who are not enrolled at CSU for more than one semester, will need to submit the application fee when they reapply.
