MISSION:
Our purpose is to foster undergraduate student learning and academic achievement by:
- aiding in the transition to and through the University,
- supporting academic and personal development,
- facilitating connections to campus resources and leadership opportunities,
- promoting the development of a diverse and inclusive community with strong institutional values and traditions.
We accomplish our purpose through programs and activities that promote or provide:
- academic and social transition at entry to the University, and integration as students progress through their academic careers,
- academic advising to help students explore, identify, and accomplish their academic goals, plan course schedules, and progress toward achievement of their goals,
- assistance to students in preparing for admission to selected professional and graduate programs,
- assistance and referrals to students to enhance their effectiveness with learning and decision making,
- assistance to the University community in promoting successful student recruitment, leadership, retention, and graduation,
- support for the development of campus community, including campus efforts to increase and enhance diversity,
- collaborative internal and external partnerships, advocating for policies/procedures/technology that improve student services.
